Today's sermon was based on Genesis 29: 15-28. Laban, Jacob, Rachel, Leah.
These are the thought-provoking points I remember from the sermon:
- Conflict in relationships is inevitable, even in good relationships.
- Everyday holds the promise for growth or the potential for disaster.
- There is no growth in a relationship until you deal with the skeletons in your own closet.
- Marriage is about decisions, not feelings.
- Silence can be deadly.
- When you look into your partner's eyes, you see what you're looking for.
- When you look into your partner's eyes and don't see the person you married, with God's help you take another look.
