Day 18: My Beliefs

Some previous posts will give you a sense of my beliefs...here are some other random thoughts.

I believe:
- In taking care of the earth
- In God
- That animals can really teach humans many things (how to be patient, how to love unconditionally, how to enjoy life, how to relax, etc)
- in taking care of your body
- in being very aware of what nutrients (or crap) you're putting in your body
- in regular exercise
- that the "arts" should remain in public schools
- that children live what they see (this can lead to very positive or negative results)
- that adults should still walk barefoot in the grass
- that soft drinks (regular and diet) are crap
- in drinking a bunch of water everyday
- in the power of yoga for body, mind and soul
- that Mac computers are the best ever
- in the power of positive thinking even though some things in life just suck, even when you think positively
- that marriage is hard work
- that habits are hard to break
- that paying off debt feels really good
- that trying to be at peace all the time actually causes inner conflict
- in the power of music
- that Americans should be more like Europeans (to take more vacations, not be so over-worked and overweight)
- that it is possible to survive with only local tv stations and no DVR.
- that in relationships, every day gives the promise for growth or the possibility for disaster.
- that it is possible, although sometimes difficult, to find a job/career that you really love
- in owning your thoughts, feelings and decisions
- that young children communicate through play
- that kids are inherently good; it's the adults who are screwed up.
- in the pursuit of happiness, not the entitlement to happiness
- that hindsight is 20/20
- that The Golden Girls always makes me feel good
- that desperate times can lead to desperate measures which can have devastating results
- that people are capable of doing horrible things to others
- that the first sip of coffee is always the best and the last sip is always the worst because it's gone
