Some old traditions that I want to continue:
1. Apple pies
2. Sausage balls & scrambled eggs on Christmas morning
3. Christmas Eve service at SRBC (or another church)
4. Decorating our house for Christmas several weeks before, including getting a real tree.
New traditions that I want to incorporate:
1. Celebrating the 12 days of Christmas according to the traditional church meaning. This could include giving our children a gift for each of the 12 days & celebrating Three Kings Day, the day the Magi got to Jesus.
2. Leaving our decorations up through Epiphany (Jan 5/6) to celebrate the 12 days of Christmas.
3. Jesus birthday cake when we have kids.
4. Doing something special with each other in lieu of buying each other gifts.
